The Burning Moon

The Burning Moon

A Poem by Linair

A lone wolf blacker than the night

Runs through snow in late twilight

Drives weak and weary muscles on

Till the colors of dusk are long past gone

Full moon rises, a raven flees

From the moon and all it sees

Herald of approaching doom

In heaven’s web the mystics loom

Pluto’s messenger, the burning moon

A warning that our time is soon

Vivid yet Abstract. This piece carries one along on a mystic ride, yet it catches your soul with the very strong and realistic groundings of life. You paint with words and you moved me.

I love the imagery and the rhyming scheme you chose.

It is compact, but provides the reader with something to ponder on.

Kudos,
JC

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
