Vampiric Desire

Vampiric Desire

A Poem by Linair

Hear it pulse, can’t help but move

Toward it’s sound, soft as the moon

Away from you; your hurt and pain

I wish I could take it all away

But to condemn a soul so pure and fine

For these desires such as mine

Tis something I can’t bear to do

I can’t bear to ruin you

Like a prayer, a dream of a dream

You begged me once on bended knee

You wanted the gift I call a curse

You wanted to share the pain that hurts

It was something I could never do

I could never take your life from you

To see in you the fire, dark and bright

Would be too much a heart wrenching sight

So here I go, I’m on my way

Maybe we’ll meet again someday

Maybe we’ll see each other and be

What we once were, in our memory

But, until then farewell, my sweet little love

Until then, stay pure, my sweet little dove

These things I feel so deep and dire

These things I do, my vampiric desire

I remember when you wrote this. It was by far the best poem I think I've read of yours. Very well thought out. I wonder though, where did you get the idea for this? We were only .. 14.. I think when you showed me? Hm. Lovely sibling, as always!

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
