To The Shadows

To The Shadows

A Poem by Linair

 Gravestones at attention

In their lines so straight and somber

Gray and ancient with weathered faces

Serene and coldly divine

Cold winter mist caresses the trees

Putting the mournful and ill willed at ease

The sleepers lie in their beds down below

Sleeplessly dreaming

The trees bow their heads

In wake of the bite of wintry daggers

Driving the truth to the ends of the world

That we all go to the shadows

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
