A voice Worth HearingA Poem by LinairDeaf says in inconstant volumes ‘I can not hear, let me die’ Blind agrees in plain discourse And both are senseless in remorse Mute signs in fluid gestures ‘I can not speak to tell my part, But yet I live this way through art I paint and write better than most Telling the tale of a diamondel coast And a cliff face of crystalline shale To a world whose imagination’s grown pale’ A voice unheard says more to the bird Than a voice spent moping or fearing Thus, making a voice unheard A precious voice worth hearing © 2009 Linair |
