BLIND DETERMINATIONA Poem by LinBinI AM IN ABSOLUTE AWE OF THE WOMEN DESCRIBED IN THIS POEM...BOTH SO AMAZINGSHE WAS A BABY WHO COULD SEE AND HEAR; BUT SOON ILLNESS TOOK THESE ABILITIES AWAY; BECOMING BLIND AND DEAF DID NOT DEFEAT HER, AND HER COURAGE GREW STRONGER DAY BY THE DAY
SHE WAS WILD AND UNTAMED UNTIL SHE MET HER MATCH, A TEACHER BY THE NAME OF ANNE, A TEACHER THAT FOUND A WAY TO REACH HER, AND WHO BANISHED '' I CAN'T'' ......FOR'' I CAN "
WORDS WERE SPELLED OUT ON HER PALM ,SHE LEARNT TO COMMUNICATE, TO UNDERSTAND; HER TEACHER GAVE HER BACK WHAT SHE'D
LOST, NOW HER VISIONS LIVED IN HER HAND
GREW AND GREW; THOUGH DEAF AND BLIND SHE EXPRESSED
HERSELF IN A WAY FEW OF US COULD EVER HOPE TO DO
SHE WON AWARDS GALORE AND WAS RENOWNED FOR BEING A SCHOLAR AND MASTER STORY TELLER;TWO WOMEN WHO SHOULD ALWAYS
BE REMEMBERED, ANNE SULLIVAN AND THE WONDERFUL HELEN KELLER...... © 2014 LinBinReviews
