UNITY MITFORD

UNITY MITFORD

A Poem by LinBin
"

A poem about a very famous English woman who fell for Adolf Hitler......

"

She would sit at Hitlers feet and feel his fingers in her hair
he was despised and feared by many, but she just didn't care

Although British to the bone she craved the Nazi way
she wore the swastika proudly and kept the Jews at bay

Fed on a diet of destruction, she believed that Hitlers way was right
She praised him for his slaughter of Jews and gloried in Germanys might

For her devotion, he bought her a house and placed swastikas over her bed
She left behind the Britain she knew  and swore alegence to Germany instead

When war between Germany and England was declared, Unity put a gun up to her head
She hated the thought of going back home, and decided she'd be better off dead

The bullet lodged inside her head but still she didn't die
Hitler paid for all of her medical care and then turned and said goodbye

Unity Mitford returned to England amid calls of traitor and Nazi w***e

She was to die in the UK of meningitis at the age of 34.
