Mother In MourningA Poem by LinBinWhen I was growing up in the east end of London;UK my fathers family were all very spiritual, I grew up surrounded by mediums. I have very clear views on death, I hope this view is made clear here xEchoes of a child from the past can be heard by the mother in mourning; enveloped within a cloud of grief, oblivious to all new days dawning
Remembrance of his daily suffering bites into her mind until she cries; remembrance of her constant prayers, never losing hope until he dies
Remembrance of a wooden coffin as it is being lowered into the ground; remembrance of her deafening screams, drowning out all other sounds
The smell of his flesh overwhelms her, she senses him when entering his room; a place once so full of his laughter, now a darkened cell of gloom
Eyes seem to focus so pitifully from his picture hanging lonely on the wall; voices she imagines within her, she's convinced she can still him him call
Sleep finally comes to the mother in mourning, her pain for a while is released; a lone figure stands silent beside her, a figure of a boy long deceased
A young boy is watching his mother, he stands so very still in the night; his cold hand reaches out to touch her and she wakes to this eerie sight
Her son stands smiling before her, free now from all his life of pain, he bids his mum a brief goodbye, and assures her that they'll meet again
Happiness comes to the mother , tears are overshadowed with so much joy A vision has released her from mourning, A vision of her long lost boy
