Early tuesday morning, my fiance's mom passed away in a car accident. We're only 18 and it's something really big to take in. A LOT.... I keep crying on and off, I have to be here for my fiance. But I wrote a poem to make me feel a little better. I'm sure her mom would be yelling at us right now for being so sad xD.... well... good day everyone.

First of all I'm sorry for your loss, and for your fiancé's loss. I respect the way you are handling the grief. I read your bio, and I too suffer from depression, so I most definitely want to applaud you for being healthy about it and encourage you to keep up with it.
About the poem - Its amazing. It makes me want to read more of your work, which I'm just about to do xP I like the line about tears falling - very beautifully said. I love how you incorporate fear into it as well, and hope. But also include commentary on how that hope just makes it worse at times. My only criticism I guess is in the first line "my eyes are wet with it". I would have changed the word it, because you don't really describe what "it" is, the obvious answer is tears - but it just doesn't flow in my head at least. Great overall thank you for the read!
Man, I wish you and your fiancé and other loved ones my sincere condolences, I wish you all strength gained from each other, may you all know how much I sympathize and wish hope and love grace you all. take care...dan
Sorry to hear about your fiancé's mother... I hope the both of you are doing okay. Tis true while it was your fiancé's mother you were hurt too. I think this poem was a great idea because if it helped you then it helped your fiancé as well. The more you cope with it the easier it will be for you to comfort them. Writing is a great way to let these feelings out, great work :)

There are no words to soften the pain. Surprise death of a parent. Hard to understand. All you can do is be with. Cry together. Mourning is needed. I will put you and your fiance in my prayers.

So sorry for you and your fiance's loss and Riv.
I don't think I would have been able to write in such circumstances but thats not a judgement, more of statement in awe of your level-headedness. Your fiance has the best support, in you, at this hard time.
Grieving is a process and it has its own pace and its own stages - we all would like to think that our loved ones who are left behind would be spared the total heartbreak and could somehow celebrate instead but that's not actually natural, is it?
Write on - if you need to...
Take care.
Everybody handles grief differently! Some people fall all apart. Some go catatonic. Some go the anger route and can't be approached. Me, I'm like the designated driver when everybody else is drunk. I'll do my dealing with my feelings about the diseased and my relations with that person when they were alive later on in a quiet moment, no noise, low light, me, my memories of the deceased and the Lord.
Alright, let's do this. My name is Riv or Abby. Either one works. I'm eighteen years old and really love writing poetry on my spare time. While I do write novels and wish to publish one or a few one d.. more..
