I'm not sure

I'm not sure

A Poem by Riv

The stars are unbound.
They will shine forever more.
Then again, my mind is blank.
Forgetting the past is easy, thinking about the future is hard.
I've waited forever now.
In this dark place I have no memory of.
Now all is gone, and I'm still here.
Everything has moved on without me.
It hurts but I know I'll be okay.
There's one thing though.
I'm not quiet sure.
Of myself.

Author's Note

Riv
My character Ivy Walker was resurrected from the dead pulled out of her reincarnation. She's missed a good 100 years of life and her husband is long gone. So adjusting to the times is difficult.

Don't know Ivy, sorry. This is actually the third poem I've reviewed today that pits the past and the future intertwined; which is more important to focus on. The present maybe? We all dwell on our pasts hoping our past mistakes will teach us for the now and the future. Then, of course, there is the saying that says we must learn from history or we are doomed to repeat it. A nice write, Riv. take care...dan

Life has just passed you in these words
The struggles rushing through you
You were strong enough to remain standing

And the beauty of it all
You being unsure of yourself
Being vulnerable and lacking confidence is just the sign of beauty of all time

gorgeous

I can't imagine waking to a world where everyone I once knew is gone, I'd have no idea where to go or what to do. The world would feel so empty and yet I'd wonder if it even has room for my existence. Good poem to reflect your character :)

They say time is relative but Time in this writing is like a long lost relative that we aren't too sure is actually ours or not. The foggy confusion is well conveyed Abby. The premise is a great exercise in writing and the result doesn't disappoint.

The one thing that one can always trust in, is our God
and through Him, ourselves!

Of all this, you can be absolutely sure forevermore!
