Can't be my Selfish nature

Can't be my Selfish nature

A Poem by Riv

I'm looking out to the gray sky,
Hoping that it rains.
The rain could fill me,
Fill me with so many thoughts.

Could it be my thoughts,
A round a bout.
When gathered into one form,
But not quiet sure where to put them.

So turn on the tv,
Turn up the music.
Stare at the unproductive pages,
Of a story yet written.

Thoughts of other people,
Filling up my head.
Thoughts of what could be,
Turning me around.

Unleash the unknown,
Make myself known.
Nothing could even compare,
To a lost train of thought.

Despite all our strifes,
We grow up anyways.
So I sit here and wonder still,
What am I doing here.

Author's Note

Riv
Can't be my selfish nature.

This poem was a bit of a test, I pulled up a song and wrote for the time that it played. I didn't entirely read the words I wrote so this poem could turn out to be totally bad.

This is the song I listened to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uXGV9L7Ktk

Moments of so many thoughts
Thinking are we ever doing enough for others
Or for ourselves
There is a balance somewhere
In moments of questions
We learn to find a balance

Love it

Riv, This is well done, and I think it exemplifies the evolution of your writing; I've been witness to you growing from a young kid (no disrespect) to a more mature writer (not in age but in structure and wording). But here is something I think I've mentioned to you before: if you are going to write something this good, do you really want to distract the readers with words misspelled and absent punctuation? Kids do that in their writes, accomplished writers proofread before posting. Nice write! take care...dan

Hey Riv, your poem is a crossroad up ahead,
Follow the road where your heart leads you..
And I might see you along the way to a fanfiction
Gathering. Cool poem buddy!

Our doubts make us question life on a day to day basis. Suck it up and move on with life. Nicely done.
