Write me in a story

As words dance across the page

Pictures fly all the same

When I turn to the next page

I'm filled with that same rage

I feel their pain

I feel their joy

If I only want one thing

It's for me to be there

So I pick up my pen

Take my computer

I type across the page

My very own fiction

It doesn't matter

If those characters aren't mine

I give due to the creator

I just see it in it's prime

I'm in that story now

I interact with my heroes

The enemies at dues

Where anything can happen

Author's Note

A lot of people could argue that fanfiction is not an actual art of writing. I rather enjoy my fanfiction simply for the joy of placing myself in a beloved story I would love to be a part of. Like if I were transported into another world. Mainly for fun. And perhaps thanks to the creators of those shows, manga's(comics) and or books. Some characters have gotten me through tough portions of my life.

Well, i wouldn't say that fan fiction is not art. It is. Why do i think that? simple, fan fiction stories are stories just like all the others, with only one change...the writer didn't make up the character. Why do people write fanfiction? it is very simple, and your poem just gave us that very reason. Ever watched a movie, or read a book, or a comic, or watched some anime, and got disappointed with how the story goes? or ever wondered, why you can't interact with the characters? or ever felt like you would change some things, or you must do something different with a certain scene, or change some event? well that is why people write fan fiction. And in my eyes, fan fiction stories are just as good, as other stories. I loved the poem, from the first word to the last. Clearly speaking of the "frustration" mentioned above, and also about people not understanding your art, or 'artistic ways'. Like if i'd write a poem about love, and a reader would think it's about somethin else. I'd be like "Did you even read it?" same goes to people who say that fan fiction is not art. Did they ever read some fan fiction stories? or did they ever try to write one? it's not all that easy. I read a good number of impressing fan fiction stories. 100 point rating.

Fanfiction has it's own charm to it, maybe your taking the story where other fans of the series wished it would have went instead of the original. Many people feel more satisfied that way :) Loving your passion for this clearly put out in this poem :)

Riv, I will have to give you kudos for effort on your part alone because I do not have a clue as to what you are into or talking about but, if it works for you and is not harmful, then why not?

Fanfiction is when you write a story with already made characters from a show book or manga. I alot of the fanfiction I write has myself as a character in it. A lot of people have the opinion that fanfiction is not actual writing and is simply a childish game.
