Mirror on the wall

Mirror on the wall

A Poem by Riv

Behind those wooden stalls,
behind the racks and clothes.
There's something that sits so still,
it's deathly ill.
When I come to seek behind,
I only wanted a shirt,
but I found a mirror on my wall.

Not intended to be a serious poem xD My family is moving in a month and I got stuck in the room with a mirror in the closet. I hate mirrors they fill me with unease.

If we are not regular mirror users, then a guest shot on a full face mirror might give us cause to pause. I seldom use mirrors. I shave about once a week out of shear laziness, and then wait for a similar opportunity the following week. Up to now, I have always been able to recognize my self.

Riv, A great though/concept and a very nice irregular rhyme scheme. I've never heard of someone with anxiety about mirrors, but I'm sure you've never heard of someone with my anxiety-inducing things and situations. This is the best piece of yours I've read in a good while. Very well done! take care...dan

Very nice short verse. I did read it different than your notes indicated. Could have gone many ways. Thanks,

Mirrors can be scary. One of the old wise tales. Mirrors and dark room. I enjoyed the short tale in the poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
