Not even here

A Poem by Riv

I can hear the sounds
Belowing and echoing
Bouncing off my walls
Tearing down these halls

My heart is torn to pieces
Tattered and ragged
When there's no saving it
There's only swallowing it

Nothing has changed,
I'm still that same person

Sitting in the corner doing something wrong.

"My heart is torn to pieces

Tattered and ragged

When there's no saving it

There's only swallowing it" These words evoke emotion due great despair and tragedy. Whew! Strong!

brilliant writing Limno, I love the flow and rhyme and the passion and sense of melancholy, doing something wrong? I'd say doing a lot right :)

A very thoughtful and thought provoking piece. I read it three times and absorbed more of its meaning each time. Very well done! take care...dan

Limno; I enjoyed it and suppose everybody feels that way at one time or another - very well written; the visual is wonderful and heartbreak hurts. Pain can pull us down, but hopefully we can all get back up. Thank you...Dale

I love it
Sitting in the corner doing something wrong

Having the world talk about it
With a broken heart

It never helps

I love it

I don't know.
"Nothing has changed,
I'm still that same person"
I believe every action and movement we do. Changes us. Heartbreak make the heart less trustworthy of love dance. A powerful poem. Left the reader with something to think about. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Some things take time to get out of our systems. When I got out of the service, I still found myself automatically waking up at 4:30 am when there was no reason that I could not sleep in for hours more. We have become automated without realizing it.
