Once again, you show your dexterity at capturing emotions and writing them in a way that the very words seem to writhe with the raw feeling of it. The mixture of love and confusion and doubt it so evident here. It's so clear it kind of gave me this feeling of nervousness in my stomach like I was the one about to say this deep meaningful things about the most beautiful and powerful emotion we humans know.
And of course there is the sacrifice. Love, in a way is built on a frame of sacrifice. Being there, and being the support for both of you is such a big decision. But as you say, it is a decision we make ourselves. And that decision is LOVE written across your forehead....
Beautiful poem, once again.

Hi LimnoH. How very true, your comments!! One can stay, through the hardships or choose to walk away. I love that you chose to stay!!! being the support often means we sacrifice our own feelings, so yeah, I know where you are coming from. Great poetry, wonderful read, very thought provoking, alf
A big part of a loving relationship is mutual sacrifice. It can feel that at times, we are sacrificing more that the other half but that's life too. Just finding someone that makes us feel this way is reward enough, I feel.
I like this one very much LimnoH. Its love in reality, not in the clouds.
LimnoH, Boy this is really an I'm-wearing-my-heart-on-my-sleeve type of writing. In that way it is very effective, the emotion (and at the same time empty) feelings are palpable. Keeping the lines and stanzas relatively brief offers less complication, which may have diluted the feelings expressed. Nice job! take care...dan
I could feel the struggle in the words leading to the string ending.
"I'll stay because,
I love her."
Love is a powerful force. We must obey. Hope is last thing to be lost. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
