Rewind

It's odd, I've never felt so happy, in so long...

Right now, everything is perfectly fine,

it's like I took a giant step forward, and pressed rewind.

The pain is terminated, gone, like it was never there,

it's fair.

You replaced the sorrow, with a wide smile,

you opened up a cold case file.

You made me whole again, I feel nothing but ease,

Stay with me, please.

I need you, your my fix, my everything.

I just feel like I want to jump up and sing.

Have you ever seen those happy endings in the movies? There it is.

This is it, for me, atleast.

It's like a poor person, now with a giant feast.

Like the darkness is overwhelmed, because here comes the sun,

The numbness defeated, the pain is done.

I feel amazing, as if you never caused any horrible heart ache,

I trying not to hope, but I don't want it to be fake.

Don't make amends, don't say anything, please,

do it for me.

Promise me time, because I don't have any fight left,

I can't take another heart theft.

So stay with me, atleast for a little while,

and I promise you, I will continue to smile.

I can't take another heart theft, I like that. I read one of your others I don't remember the name of it. I read a couple of poems so that I can a feel for the writer. Another chance at love you seem to have become wiser like you know it won;t last but you are in for the minute. It's hopeful. A rhyming poem.
