The Wake of DestructionA Poem by LimitalityI never thought it would hurt so much as they saidI never thought it would hurt so much as they said, but it does, and I cannot stand the pain, it is unbearable, ridiculous amount of endless darkness fogging my way. Like the burning of a cigarette constant on your skin, like the blade to your arm again and again, a raging, nagging feeling to your heart. You have demolished me. I am no more than an empty shell of all that I was, and I guess this is what I must walk around as. If I could turn back the time, Just go back for three minutes, dear. I would change our paths forever, and cause this path of destruction to end. We would never meet, never suffer, peaceful. We would live our own separate lives. However, is it fate that had brought us together? It is a constant war, this thought that boils in my mind. We are not who we are, we lay in the wake of destruction my darling. © 2014 LimitalityAuthor's Note
