Here I Lie

Here I Lie

A Poem by Xczodius
"

" This poem captures the tranquillity of a journey's end, beneath the starry sky and waning moon, where nature's symphony lulls the weary traveller to rest. " - Chat G.P.T., 2024

"

‘Neath the starry sky,

‘Neath the waning moon,

Here I lie,

For I have travelled eons to the tune,

Of the birds chirping,

And the bees humming,

The dogs barking,

And the monkeys drumming.

After crossing fields of wheat and barley,

I found this little resting place,

By the town church, so queerly,

And for now, ‘neath the starry sky,

‘Neath the waning moon,

Here I lie, here I lie.
