Yesterday I DreamtA Poem by XczodiusA poem about the magic of dreamland.
Yesterday I dreamt,
Of a sky with a dusk - purple hue, Of cotton clouds too, And dancing trees, While I was standing in front of a blowing breeze. And the birds were singing there merry tune, I couldn't believe my fortune. But then I woke, And tried to hear their happy song, I looked up at the sky far too long, And it was ashen grey -- lifeless, if you please, I looked to the side for the dancing trees, But they were still as a statue, And the breeze went missing too. Now I'm awake, And can't wait to go back, I can't even try to list what today lacks, But I guess I'll have to wait, I think it's already too late, Since now I'm forgetting, The tune that the birds were singing. © 2024 XczodiusAuthor's Note
