Chapter Four: Stuck in Limbo, Watching The World

I woke up wearing what I was killed in, skinny jeans, just a regular blue Hollister shirt, with a grey cardigan. For a while, my head was a bit fuzzy, I couldn't remember much. Then, I saw me, dead on the ground, my so called friends surrounding my cold body. My blonde hair was a mess, my brown eyes were shut peacefully, as if I was sleeping. The only thing that was the same, was that I was pale. This wasn't because of the death, it was because the sun refused to kiss me. Ami and Lannah looked shocked, Sam looking at them for a moment.

'' Ami, Lannah, dump her in the lake '' Sam said, pointing to the ice lake, only feet from where I was. They looked at her for a moment, still looking scared. I looked around me for a second. No heaven? No hell? It was like limbo. I wasn't in the afterlife, because I had left some unfinished business. Lannah took my feet, her face looked quiet, broken perhaps. Ami was silently crying as she took my hands. There was a break in the ice, so they threw me in. I sunk like Titanic, slowly, but surely.

Led was panting, he had gotten pretty carried away when killing me, but so had Emma. Jen looked at them. '' It's all over guys. She won't be telling a soul. But then again, neither will we. Right? '' she said, peering around suspiciously, mostly at the criers, Ami and Lannah. They nodded their heads quickly, trying to convince Jen, so they wouldn't end up in the lake like me. A while later, there was no evidence I had even been there. My friends were experienced.

I was expecting to see all the others here with me, but strange, they weren't here. Maybe they had gotten into heaven or hell. Maybe, they are just in a different kind of limbo. One without me. When I was stuck thinking, everyone kind of split up, Lannah and Ami going off together, the rest going the other way. I went with the duo, it was like an invisible string though, wherever they went, I followed.

They ended up going to a cafe. Ami was still shaking, as she spoke, her voice kind of cracked. '' O-Oh my god... They even killed R-Rachel, this is awful, w-what do we do?! We can't t-turn them i-in, they'd k-kill us '' she said, stuttering a bit. Same old Ami. Lannah was too shaken up to say anything. Ami slapped her across the face. '' Get it together! I can't think about this alone, what are we going to do?! They probably will kill us anyways, for regretting killing her! '' she said with tears in her eyes again. I felt happy for some strange, awful reason. Someone missed me, I wasn't hated by everyone. At least two people really cared for me. That was enough to keep me going.

Lannah looked at Ami, suddenly getting an idea. '' We're going to avenge her, and everyone else they killed. We're going to kill them Ami. You and Me. We can do this, if we try hard enough. I bet Rachel's looking down at us right now, thinking ' Yeah. You're right. Thank you. ' Come on Ami. Please? '' she said, suddenly confident. Ami looked at her, as if deciding. It didn't take long, Ami grabbed Lannah's hand with a grin and said '' Yeah. I'm in. ''

So that's how it was. They were going to avenge me. What an encore. I didn't know what to think. Now all my friends were murderers? But, I knew I would do the same thing in their position, so it was okay with me. For now. Little did they see, I wasn't the only one watching them. Or the scariest. Be careful Guys, I wouldn't want my avengers to die so quickly in the game.

Just when I was getting comfortable, I was pulled through walls, people, dogs, signs, anything, into the group's hideout, a cheap motel.
