Be Honest With Yourself, Lying is My Job

Be Honest With Yourself, Lying is My Job

A Poem by laughinglullaby

All we've seen is lies
With eyes that refuse to search.
With cries that will never be heard .
We break hearts and minds In parts we never find.
The love we lost, above all costs.
Her heart for your pride.
Her love pushed aside.
The exchange you made.
Rearrange this game
To play the odds in your favor.
Let your god be your savor.
This time you'll be the one with the bleeding wrists and the broken heart.
Let's just insist its only a part.
We're all just actors on a stage.
We're all just lines torn from a page.
Just a book we never read.
Just a memory that found its way in your head.
Save my heart for a rainy day
Maybe then you can wish me away.
So fight the guilt,
Change your name,
But at the end of the day
You only have you to blame.

About
This is my life make of it what you will. Theses are my thoughts think of them how you will. If you're a dreamer dare to dream with me. If you're a believer then sympathize with me. Be who you are and.. more..
