You're Just a Pawn In The Game We Call Life

You're Just a Pawn In The Game We Call Life

A Poem by laughinglullaby

Let me be a perfect angel,
Let me be your perfect stranger.
Who's to say we can't have it all?
Who are they to take our perfect ending?
Who says we have to be this way?
(And this was my plan: to break your heart)

Let us dance in perfect harmony.
Let your feet make up the lyrics and the notes play.
(And You were walking on glass the whole time)

Don't let me be just a dream.
Don't let me forget that your haunt my every memory.
Don't Let this be just fantasy.
(And You'll forget me)
I'll always be just out of reach,
A waltz over the edge
Just a step short of grace.
(And you think you can save me?)

Let me misplace every look you hold captive
Behind those ever empty eyes.
For once I'll cry wolf
As the blood drips from my fangs
(and the tears fill my eyes)

Baby, is this love?
Or are you just my prey?
Repent and claim your forgiveness
Before your grace runs out.
(And you won't)

I want you to believe I'm the perfect princess.
I want you to take me to the castle so I can claim the throne.
( And you can sit next to me if you want to)
I'm not the one you should be worried about.
The serpent is wrapped around your chair.

About
This is my life make of it what you will. Theses are my thoughts think of them how you will. If you're a dreamer dare to dream with me. If you're a believer then sympathize with me. Be who you are and.. more..
