The Introduction

The Introduction

A Poem by LilyT

hello me

lavender eyes under black light

I still develop photographs the old fashioned way

the chemicals

liquids

the ghost imprints

my fingertips lean to make a pass

along the edges

bringing the day into focus

images have always been my companions

my camera

an extension of my possibilities

hello you

may I take your photograph?

Hello beautiful you~ a simple penning with good style and definition. I like it. Hope you will post some of your photos soon. I love to play amateur photographer with my digital, but the closest I've ever come to old fashion developing was when I worked in the art department of a manufacturing company that used photo negatives with light sensitive polymer to make flexographic printing plates so we could print those Chic Jeans tags and other commercial stuff. I liked it. =)

A poem that describes a simple process lovely and then adds in the extra goodness of letting us ponder our interaction, our purpose in this world that we capture in a photograph: "an extension of my possibilities"

ah why have we not got more of your poetry!? it's so very scenic - photographic eye for sure! "lavender eyes under black light" - a camera - to catch a moment and frame it forever - whether it be tears or laughter!

And why do not post poetry more often? I can't understand...
This breath of honesty and illusory beauty stems from fingers that bleed ink. A picture penned with words that reveal the wondrous YOU. lovely, honey.

You convey a subtle sense of the mystery of imagery and old-school photographic processes while being completely natural, pragmatic, unassuming -- like Zen.

Image>Music>Text>Virtuality is my interdisciplinary guideline. To experience symbiotic interplay between these emphases makes one a better artist and more fully aware.

"lavender eyes under black light" haunt.

I remember the old way of processing pictures use to have a development studio years ago and that was fun now it is all digital and instant just like mail. blah blah.. Pretty good write, that makes me remember the past and how much fun it was to do it the old fashion way. Great write.
