Fire and Gasoline

Fire and Gasoline

A Poem by k.s.

I thought we were perfect

together.

You made me laugh

the hardest.

But it turns out

when I ignited

you made my

flames brighter.

So bright

I almost burned

everything down.

Even you.

So to fix things,

I either had to dim

my fire

or

set you ablaze.

And for the

longest time I

put out my fire

to save you.

Now, without you

I have grown into

the sun

and

lit up

all of

creation.

Great use of metaphors describing your emotions. Sometimes we have to let go of people we love to find ourselves. Thank you for sharing more of your heart with us
