Under the knife

Under the knife

A Poem by Rob

I let you cut me open that day, to see the contents inside me
You saw my heart, the only thing inside that remain
I conversed with you as if the arms on the clock would run away
Felt as if I had to tell you all my secrets in one day
Just wanted a friend whom I could vent
Leaving me half-witted, looking back I regret
I opened up to you, only to see that you left
You lied to me, leaving me open for all the clowns to see
They find It comical to judge one by his history. You left me to die I couldn’t believe
My heart was the one that perceived you as beautiful
But it was my eyes that were blind to see.
When you left you showed your true colors to me
You’re as lifeless as a grave; if I tried to cut you open you wouldn’t even bleed
Your lies nearly sucked me in to thinking love was real
My heart burst out of my chest, with no emotion I picked it up and threw it away
I do not need a heart if I’m goanna love and get hurt in the process
For love is an evol game just daring you to play

I really like this, it is filled with emotion and dismay. The rhyme scheme is nice too, not too overwhelming. I like it!
