Dream Chasing

All of us are running after a dream, whether we realize it or not. Sometimes when we reach our dreams they are not what we think they are. That is OK, we just have to go find a new dream to chase.

Running, chasing
Reach for it
Grasp at it

Taunting, slipping
Always out of reach
Just beyond fingertips

Snatching, Holding
It burns your skin
Too hot to touch

Branding, Searing
Marking your hand
Deceitful dreams

Opening, Freeing
Let it go
It never was

Turning, Starting
Old dream failed
New dream begun

Ah dreams......thats why they are dreams. A snap at reality but not reality. Dreams can come true but you just have to make allowances to get them across the line.
