Coffee Shop

Coffee Shop

A Poem by Chaplily44

I'm writing this in a coffee shop

the people talk so loud.

They share their fears

and spill their tears.

The smell of coffee is like a drug

enticing  the truth to come out.

They open up

and fill their cups.

I'm writing this in a coffee shop

because I eavesdrop in this house of confession

more of a church with therapy sessions.

I'm writing this in coffee shop

to learn why I am so alone

perhaps the endless chatter

will teach me how to be like the others.

I had a range of emotions reading this, and I think that is awesome. It is well written, and I felt as though I were sitting there too. Loved it.
