Lash

Lash

A Poem by Ceri Sian Lock

Lying, looking at the lashes.

Moving with the motion of a calm, calm ocean.

Where my cheek is resting,

That's where home is.

Tides and waves and breeze,

switch to another tranquility.

Settled in a cave and laid for days.

Water whispered memories and prophecies of stays.

Watched the stars and clouds turn slow,

as they told tales of dreams we didn't know.

Lovers, or so much more, melt through doors,

to forget the world on another shore.

The next characters were familiar.

It began with a star

that exploded and moved through galaxies

and worlds

and times

and spaces.

To fall and sink in distant places.

Followed trails of fortune and fails,

smooth and beaten

everything in between.

Along the way broken rails.

The sum of all dead reflect on embers.

Remind of shots that would crash this enchanting breath in my head.

Two twisted lines fused and refined

in white, open, bright light minds.

Matchless spark.

Then back to warm dark

glow of candles under blankets.

Sweetly sweeping between planets.

Another reality

Dimensions only adoring eyes see

Dive in black light pools,

whole.

Outside, cautious fools.
