PaigeA Poem by EnigmaWhen love has to kill.
Night came, you came, a star to light up my world
Beautiful name, your name, Paige, you welcomed my words Your breath on my neck, your warmth on my chest You sang me a song, you said you'll do your best To love me, to forget, to hold me with no regrets And I smiled, cupped your face, claimed your your lips I loved right that night Innocent mind, you had, like lotus rises up from mud You were kind, my bad for taking your soul drying your blood A smile on your lips, blank were your eyes I wrote the end, and it's me who dies And I cried, traced your body, embraced my crime No need to be told, I loved you strong Two pills, and you slept, you believed what I said Stay still, and you'll heal, no more pain I said You opened your eyes, it was a mistake You left me no choice but your life to take And it tasted too good, your blood and my tears Run down my veins, all the love you gave, all your fears Needless to say, I loved you to the end.
