Love is ___

I have recently been feeling interested in love, so I put my thoughts into a poem. 'Love is___' is not a polished writing piece, it comes from my heart.

'What is love?'

It is a curious thought.

Is love the joining of two people.

or is it the fluttering feeling in my heart,

perhaps its a connection between a man and a woman whose souls are twins.

Is love reserved for a woman and a man,

or can two men feel the same thing,

if so,

could two women be in love as well?

I wonder:

could I be accepted if I came out as bisexual?

It certainly seems that way,

but how could I know,

I have never been in love,

and it seems to be a somewhat forbidden topic,

yet I become more and more interested in romance.

Love is a beautiful thing,

but it can cause deep pain,

so is it worth it?

I guess one day,

someday,

I will know.

How do you know if love is a beautiful thing if you've never been in love?

Trust me, it's not for everyone. Some people don't figure that out until it's too late and end of ruining their own lives as well as their significant other/children's lives. Wait until about age 25 before you start making assumptions on the subject of love. Your brain isn't even finished physically developing until that age... it's better to wait until you know exactly who you are then make a very costly mistake. The divorce rate is over 50% for this reason... most people don't know what love really is until after they've committed to someone.
