The Arena- Part 2

Part 2 of my 'The Arena' short story collection- based off of The Hunger Games.

… In order to survive “The Arena” you must have courage, strength, but most of all, endurance. If you can’t endure the first challenge, you are guaranteed to die. The same goes for all other challenges. You must have both emotional strength and physical strength. Your new competition WILL hunt you down, they will kill you, and they will have no mercy. “Sticks and stones will break our bones, and words, they will strike you.” Those are my mother's words, and they replayed over and over in my head as I waited for the signal.
