The Daydreamer

The Daydreamer

A Poem by Lilias
"

I neglected this site for 8 months, time my new lover needed to "tame" me... Here is a tribute to his patience and everlasting love.

"
I left her on a warm black stone
her soft hair subtly perfumed,
wild locks slightly moving in the wind,
brown silky waves shivering on her skin.
.
Slipping into sweet daydreams,
I thought she would wait for me,
until the awakening of the wolf,
despite the fears, despite the tears.

Then, wrapped in my coat of moon,
I tried to meet her again,
white shadow on a bed of rocks,
as hard to tame as the fox.

Light morning mist,
she did long for me thru the dryness,
the heat turning her to a fragant breath
while, waiting for a lover, she embraced her death.

Once summer will have burned all sun,
when green leaves will have met the reddish autumn,
once winter will have sipped each drop of water,
I will find her,
light morning mist on a warm black stone,
craving to run, free like a fawn.

This is so sweet! I love it. The flow is great, and the length is just perfect!

I used to write in French but I found a new breath writing in English. C.P. Cavafy, Miyazawa Kenji and Pablo Neruda are my favorite authors... In fact, they wrote what I dream to write myself... more..
