You And I

A fictional free verse poem, if that's what you'd call this poem

Dancing around happily
You and me

Then we go somewhere high
Then you start to fly

Right into the sky

My heart starts to race
Why didn’t you take me there with you

This has a dream-like quality to it. In dreams we can do anything (sometimes) but when we awake we are back down to boring reality.

Although I'm sure this is meant to be innocent, it sounds like someone took an overdose and died. Just my weird interpretation.
