The Cult of The ShadowA Poem by Lilac LiliesA fictional free verse poem, if you'd call this thatI take boat all alone to somewhere afar The grey clouds cover the stars It rains oh so heavily and lightning strikes Following a shadow to an unknown place The thing I used to be scared of Will now become the thing I use to cope With my fears I haven’t faced I’m still here alone What happens now will be unknown I have my first regret yet I keep following the dark figure I’ll keep on going Since they said here lays my beautiful treasure So I keep on rowing and rowing I notice the horrible weather It seems like it’s getting even worse No matter how many people have died in this storm I must carry on following the shadow Going on and on It seems I have been lost forever and ever Now I am a miserable ghost Regretting everything For the rest of my afterlife
