Heavy Rain

Heavy Rain

A Poem by Lilac Lilies
"

A fictional poem I made, enjoy

"
Raindrops fall onto the ground to make a tiny little puddle
I reach out to what’s above yet I smash onto the floor
I was such a pretty drop of water then I fell and fell
Soon enough, I cry out from my pretty little eyes
It falls, it reminds me of myself, falling due to a tragedy
Then soon enough, I drop onto the floor with a crash
Oh but then, to you, it was really only a little splash
After a while it makes a river, a flood and it swallows you up
That’s your fault for making it rain, pouring raindrops like me
I was happy in the sky until you used your power to make me hurt

This is an interesting read. If I interpreted this right, are you talking about how a raindrop is hurt? I had the feeling you were writing this from the perspective of a raindrop.i liked this poem because then it also seems as if you're imdirectly comparing the raindro0s sadness to a humans sadness. The line " Oh but then, to you, it was really only a little splash" as if the person's feelings, or the raindrops emotions do not matter. This piece was fun to read!
