The Demon That Haunts Me

This is a poem that's quite personal to me, though, thankfully, my mental health has been getting better recently so please don't call the police or something

The demon calls me a horrible creature, a terrible monster
The demon is always with me even in my dreams
The demon is always with me even in my happiest, most joyful moments
The demon misleads me into even more misery
The demon is always with me and I keep on doing things I regret

I think many people have their demons. Most can cope with them and can push them away. The problem is when their presence becomes intrusive and the negativity lingers. Pleased to hear your mental health is improving. I hope it continues to. First of yours I have read. Thank you.
