Chapter 2

Draven went out on a journey to Baile nan Gaisgeach. This town was full of fighters, and quest givers. Most, if not all residents of Baile nan Gaisgeach were powerful warriors, so the quests given not only were very dangerous, but rewarded the most amount of loosels. Draven had always looked forward to the missions that ensued. Once he arrived in Baile nan Gaisgeach, he searched for the one place he knew there to be many people searching for help. He entered a pub named Deoch làidir. Everyone in here was always drunk. No matter if they had just awaken, or haven’t slept in 5 months. Draven had a client working here, his name was Neach Toraidh. “Hey Torry, whaddya got for me?” Draven asked hurryingly. “Sorry Drave,” Neach replied “I’ve got nuffin”. Draven was surprised. Neach always had something for Draven. “Really? You always have a lead on something.” he responded. Draven grew curious. “Yeah, I’m tellin the troof, I ain’t got anythin for ye, especially since that Lucy chick came by. Everythin has been silent for a couple days”. Draven’s heart skipped a beat as he heard the name Lucy again. “Lucy is doing quests?” he asked. “What, do ye know ‘er?” Neach questioned Draven. “Yeah, she’s a friend of mine, though she isn’t a fatollo.” He responded. Draven was mad. Not only had this imposter came to his home, borderline mocking him, but is now trying to steal work from him. He grew worried about how he was going to stop this. Neach knew what Draven was going to do. “Yer gonna kill ‘er, are ya?” He asked. Draven’s eyes lit with shock. “What,” he replied “Got a problem with that?” he remarked sinisterly. Neach chuckled to himself. “Not in the slightest, but if you were to kill ‘er, I’d suggest makin a little less obvious fer others.” Neach said jokingly. They both chuckled. “Where would I find her now?” Draven demanded. “The quest is out in Yveskin, I wouldn’t hurry though, as its an assassination request on the Harvester of Sorrow. Let that Lucy broad weaken ‘em a bit, then you can kill both.” Draven gulped. The Harvester of Sorrow was a very powerful being, the fact that he had an assassination request meant someone had been affected by grief, and feels that the pain is too much. Draven would be doing the world a favor by killing the beast, but it would not be easy. “I’ll follow your advice, for now.” Draven responded. Now he had to kill two people in the same quest. And one of them he had no idea how powerful they were. He had to prepare. Maybe it was a bad idea to not take any ointments with him. Draven knew that he had to return to Aza uninjured or else he’d feel horrible for making her worry so much. Draven set out for Yveskin. He read up on the Harvester of Sorrow. He got his name because of his muzzle ability. He feeds off of negative emotions. Anger, grief, and, of course, sorrow. The only way to best him was to feel no emotion. Draven not only didn’t want to get injured for Aza’s sake, but because he knew if he did he would never win against the Harvester of Sorrow. But he also knew that The Fake would get in the way as well. He didn’t know who he should kill first. Killing the Harvester first would allow him to more easily focus on The Imposter and their ability, but killing The Imposter first would lower the chance of him getting injured, as he knows what the Harvester can do. Draven figured what he should do first. He’ll kill the fake Lucy first, then the Harvester. It wouldn’t be easy, but he had a plan if it failed. Once he made it to Yveskin, he immediately saw The Harvester, but he didn’t see The Imposter. Sat upon his throne, The Harvester knew about Lucy’s intrusion into his kingdom. Lucy had finally shown up. “Oh my, an assassin sent after me? How could a frail old man cause any trouble?” The Harvester asked. “Whatever you are, you’re in my way of domination, therefore…” Lucy paused, then returned to her statement. “You must die.” She exclaimed. Draven would stick around to watch the fight, see what each has got up their sleeve. The Imposter had some sort of sword with her. The Harvester summoned his Scepter, which he used to feed on emotions. Their battle began quickly, and ended almost the same second. The Harvester gave a quick strike towards Lucy. She took a direct hit. But that didn’t stop her from driving her sword through his head. The battle had finished almost the moment it began. “Looks like I’ve underestimated my opponent.” The Harvester gasped through pampered breaths. Draven grew angry. He thought that he would learn something through this experience, but to see Lucy kill The Harvester just as easily as she had once died made him sick. “It sure does pay working for-” she was quickly cut off when The Harvester slashed at her chest once more with his scepter. After the slash, a direct stab to her neck was all it took to bring her to her knees. The Harvester rose up, seemingly increasing with power. Draven stopped all rational thought. He was furious with Lucy. He was going to side with The Harvester. One way or another. Draven now knew she was working for someone powerful. He was going to kill her. “Ah, the power of grief and anger. It flows through me. Who were you going to say you work for? Most likely Battery, right? He has had many assassins after me, but none have so far as scratched me. You, you are something different. It does not matter anymore, as your pain will give me strength.” Lucy had started gasping for air. She couldn’t as much as breath, as not only has her windpipe been broken, but her lungs and heart have been completely slashed apart. Though she still stood, ready for battle. Now the real battle had begun. Both were clashing weapons together, almost equaling each other strength and speed. That was, until the imposter used their real power. Lucy seemed to mend about. She transformed into her real self. She was a hideous beast. She sprouted a large head of hair, and beast like claws for hands. Her legs transformed into large tendrils. This is what Draven had imagined he’d see in the kitchen when he first met. The Harvester smirked. “So angry you are. It makes for a great meal. Yes, keep feeding me your hate, for you know you cannot win this battle!” The Harvester became cocky of his ability. Though it was not Lucy who was angry, but Draven. He was engulfed in misery as he saw a great friend of his transform into a hideous beast. He would remain in the shadows to observe the beings horrible powers. Lucy, or what remains of her, had torn a hole in her own chest. A type of acidic mucus launched from the chest cavity. It reached The Harvester, and immediately burned through the bone. “So this is the acid they talked of, Lucretia.” The Harvester seemed to have no worries. “Well, it seems it’s only destiny that we both die today, isn’t it?” He gawked at her. The beast’s name was Lucretia. The name Lucretia means success, which was only true to the name. The beast seemed to never back down against The Harvester. Slashing and tearing at his limbs quickly brought him to the ground. He talked through a hideous cough. “So, it seems this is the end of my tale, huh?” He laughed. “Do what you must. Experience your short burst of success Lucretia. Another will use this fight to their advantage.” Draven heard this and was shocked to learn that The Harvester knew he was there. After The Harvester had said this, he looked almost directly at Draven. “If it brings you one step towards domination, then do it.” The Harvester grumbled, and soon after, he had the claws of the beast driven through his chest. The Harvester of Sorrow had been defeated. Draven knew this was his time to strike. Leaping from the corner he hid in, he summoned a shortsword, and aimed to pierce her already slashed heart. Though Lucretia would not go down this easy. She grabbed the sword launching towards her, and bended it like a piece of rubber. She grabbed Draven and threw him at a wall. The impact made a large crater, and Draven began to realise to himself, Welp, there goes leaving uninjured.

CreepingDeath
Since this is an early chapter that wasn't rewritten, it may seem sloppy compared to chapter 1 (unless It doesn't and I'm just doubting myself, in which case that'll be surprising.)
