The Sadness Of The Truth

The Sadness Of The Truth

A Story by Heather Hunziker
"

Wrote this while i watched my cousins with their mom.

"

Her tears fell onto her young childs head. Seperated for the past few months made this meeting extra special. She carressed the childs hair and held her tight. Even though this child is happy for now her heart will soon be broken. The truth about her intention will be known. For this mother will soon leave to go back to her old life...a selfish life. A life full of putting self first and caring not who was hurt, even the small child in her arms now. Looking at the child's foster parents she smiled and in a round about way asked for some money. The child held on tightly as her mother argued with the foster mother. Insults and curses were spat. Giving up the mother knelt down and half heartedly hugged the child one last time. Promising new starts and future reunions. Sadly that would be the last time they'd see each other and the little girl would always question the promise of another woman.
