Easily, an Evil JuxtapositionA Poem by so_farso_good
Heaven-
Cathedrals chant Their chosen battle cries In the fight for divinity -Hellfire Angels and demons both whisper in my ear, One thousand different pathways, all to which I must adhere, Each one characterized by specific wounds they do inflict. Whispers escalate into soft songs, ringing. Lullabies become manifestoes singing- All the same cries, cried by two enemies. Now their pleading becomes louder, like two groups of jackals’ laughter, Colloquially coercing me to confide. The tone becomes deafening, like bullets fraying, Every defense my humanity was saving Is slowly withering in the wake of their fight. Screeching song, they come together, Nearly crashing, their attire clashing. Separated only by the midpoint of my soul. Above my head the two wage war, And goad me to join their core, But I refuse to fight, to kill, to choose. And so I am by default, damned to Hell Once confined by freedom, or rather, choice’s rotten cell I now so quickly, steadily, slowly fell. Servants- Screaming my name They force me to fight, but I won’t intend to damn a friend. -Killers © 2015 so_farso_goodAuthor's Note
