Outside of Time

Outside of Time

A Poem by Lightfalls

Was it outside of time,
That we met?
That our hearts came together?
That our minds became as one?

Our spirits danced together in the golden beauty of the ever fleeting present
Beautiful, delicate moments as these, free from the chains of time.
Time!  Beautiful, fascinating, cursed time...gave way to eternity, and all but lost meaning as all other senses became only memories mingled with the present, floating softly, like petals on a river, down, down, down...

Then one day
The ever looming threat of capture,
Came to return us to our place
The place of gray solid days, months, and seasons
The world of clocks
And hours,
ticking slowy by....
each one slower then before
...Without you

Did I take my love
As I left that day?
As time returned to take me?
As our fates came into a crossroads?
Destined to walk apart?

Oh you!
How I miss your arms, around me
My heart, beating in sync with yours

I miss you
Everything about you

I love you with all of me
And I left all of me with you

My love,
Remains with you

My heart,
Is in your hand

For now,
For time,
And for always,

I love you

My you

"Beautiful" will be a petty word to describe it.

"Time, beautiful, fascinating, cursed time..."

A bittersweet truth.
