Unspoken

Sometimes unspoken words mean more then what we say. For a friend.

I was your friend

Though nothing more 

Secure in friendship 

We were sure

Our spoken thoughts

And silence too

Became to me 

What was to you

I’m sorry 

And I hope you see

You’re really what a friend should be

Someone to talk to with no shame

A short escape from life’s cruel games

Sometimes I’d feel your thoughts as mine-

And we’d loose track of space and time

I never meant to

Throw you out

I've gone to far-

In love with doubt

You’re just a friend

But that 

To me...

Was more than most 

Will ever be

My words unspoken change no truth

For what is known needs no proof

Somehow you knew

What I’ll confess….

"Always your friend

And nothing less"
