A Story

A golden moment in time, please don't let it be only a distant memory.

Wide as the earth, and more powerful then the waterfalls crashing through the deepest valley.  

My love for you only grows with time.

My mind is running through those days, weeks, moments spent in your arms.  

Those times were all too short, all too final.  

But though they ended with a finite cutting sadness, they are immortalized forever in my heart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Somehow for a moment, that gleam of light broke through the dark, 

Winter's icy grip was broken, 

And for just a moment, the icy frozen world was transformed into a mystical garden of beauty. 

Through the blackened sky, a gleaming light shone through, and with it’s soft touch my dream was finally awakened to life.  

Free to run, free to laugh, free to escape the thoughts of inadequacy.  

We left our fears trampled in the dust as my spirit soared with yours.  

Those moments somehow became more real each day, and even more alive with love.  The fire between us, didn’t keep us apart, it only illuminated our unspoken thoughts.   And drew us together into a world alive with blazing light.

Now reality has faded back into this story, and our magical land has become ordinary once again.  

Life doesn’t end happily ever after, this story just turns into another chapter.  

And I'm alone again.  

The earth, is locked in the dead of winter, and this reality is stranded in the abyss of the endless night

What happened to our story?  The moment…where did it go??

Searing terrible pain and sadness.  I’m longing, for you.  Always you.  All I can do is stand here at the edge, holding onto that beautiful moment, as I look out over this canyon between us.  

But standing here now, I can almost see you and feel you near me.  Though you are far away, you are also here so close -in my heart.  I love you beyond words, you.  

Someday, when the stars align, and the earth becomes alive with the beauty of spring.  When rivers of freedom run wild and free again.

That moment, will touch our world again.  

Though for now it is frozen in time, 

And locked in the past,

It is also alive and real.

In the spring, it will bring the future to life.

Until then, I will keep you forever in my heart.

I'll love you always, you,

Even when time touches the end.
