AtlantisA Poem by LightfallsA dream is so near, yet so far away....
You’re out there now So far away Still, in my thoughts I see… Peculiar thoughts of how it was, And what could never be. So close So far It’s like a dream Or ship lost out at sea
Golden Emerald Beauty trapped Longing to be free
Though more then an illusive thrill Not less then this, my goal… Like shafts of light into the dark You echo through my soul
The mysteries of the atmosphere How real are they to me? Like thoughts of beauty, hope, and love These depths, my destiny
Disappearing Dissipating Slowly fades away
Where are you going? Who can know, Through dark of night and day?
Dark and dreary Pallid grey Escape to starry place
A long lost distant water land Like worlds hidden in space
Floating Leading Blindly trust Is this how it must be?
To find perfection, chained and lost Held captive to the sea?
Though chaos floods my thoughts so dark And life is filled with fear
I wish to see you Though afar I’ve felt you close -so near
Unknown Unfound Just out of grasp It’s slipped away before
I search so hard For break of light To see that distant shore
You’ve searched the earth I’ve chased the light We’ve been through stormy sea
When we have found it, would we know?
This deep lost mystery…
