Storms

Storms

A Story by Lightfalls
"

A story.

Blue skies. Silver clouds.

The soft winds blow through the grasses.

The ocean waves gently break on the shore.

I wish that the world would always be this beautiful.

The storms will come soon though, I know.

I can see the clouds moving in.

I can’t stop the storm from coming.
But neither can I leave.

Watching the birds fly across the sky so free, my spirit feels free too.

Seeing the ocean, so clear and eternal as it reflects the beauty of the earth and sky,
I am reminded of the way our lives forever reflect the beauty of the world.

The wind blows harder.
No longer soft breezes, it’s strength seems to move the clouds in closer.

The blackened sky clearly reads of danger. I should go, but I don’t want to. The ocean is where I want to be.

Shadows block the sun. The rain falls. The waves break on the shore more fiercely as the clouds move to cover the sky. The rain soaks through to my skin, and the wind stings my face.

The sun is slowly sinking behind the mountains.  It leaves, but I cannot go.
I stand at the edge of the shore and wait.

The beauty in life is not always found when the world is peaceful, I know.
Sometimes it is found in hard times.  Sometimes it is seen even in the storm, through the wind and the rain.

Sometimes beauty is only found in the distance.

Sometimes beauty is found only in hope.

But the sun is always there.  The thought of it’s continual presence gives me hope.  Somewhere, across the world, there is a place it shines ever strong and clear.

Somewhere its warmth is felt.

No matter how dark the sky is, the light will shine here once again.
The darkness will not last forever.

The light of the sun is cast across the sky.  The night is almost here.

The irridescent colors, red and orange fire, they promise of a new and beautiful day tomorrow.

I know the sun will return though.
The hope of a new day is enough to me strong.

Storms can come as they please, I will have hope still.

I can leave to face the night.

I'm not about being tied down and limited with words. Words are just a shadow of life anyways, and only used because they simplify things. Sometimes there are things far, far beyond words, that you .. more..
