Lost memories

Lost memories

A Poem by Light

Walking along a solitary road,

With no one but just a simple thought.

I and my agony, I go,

I travel but I want to meet people here

Once again, I want to smile.

People change people and sometimes,

There is nothing but only ruins.

A whole lot of sweet memories I had,

Now it all faded away.

But I stand up and fight again,

“Life is a combat”, they say,

“A comic world of congregate”

So now I know what they meant

By love, hatred and memories.

Thousands of smiles they pass on me,

 it all seems fake.

And then I recall what my mommy said,

“Don’t let yourself down”

Those tales of life I heard from,

And all I did was dream,

All I did was fancy

How Romeo met Cinderella and

How the mermaids fell in love.

I still believe in fairies and in tales about them,

For not that dragons exist;

For that dragons can be killed.

Everything changes and everything fades away,

Leaving the sky forever same.

                                    ‘cause people change people

And sometimes, memories stay back

And leave behind blemishes, aching slightly.

Now along my journey along a solitary road,

All I have is the same immortal sky.

All I have is,

“My lost memories”
