Life, granted

Life, granted

A Poem by Light

Smiles and sadness,

Joy and grief.

So many at a time,

Blend to form a life.

Though not so easy

And simple as it seems,

Yet, do appreciate the beauty

And dreams that it brings.

Precious glitters never do shed,

A thousand drops of rain which can’t compare.

Small acts of kindness forever remain,

Rather than big promises, soon forgotten.

Welcoming you, a silent melody plays,

Yet many strains and troubles will you face.

A hundred decades you may not remain,

The heavens soon will turn cruel.

But you have a thousand moments

And many a lot reasons within,

To search for and live for.

Because life is a beautiful mess,

For which you can’t complain.
