the days that could’ve been

the days that could’ve been

A Poem by Light

‘Work hard when young to be old with a wise mind’
So no joy today, so that joy I’ll find?

You’re not busy right now, alright, okay,
I never took you to be successful anyway

No future for you, just saying
Will it be mcdonalds or burger king?

I think, when in a curious mood,
Is happiness a trading good?

Am I really on the road to succes?
What if before I reach the end I’ll crash?

and if the numbers really mean what one says they should mean,
Will a potential future be greater than the days that could’ve been?

Author's Note

Light
I often feel like I’m investing my time into nothing. With every day that passes, I feel more like I will never live a life as fulfilling as my current one sucks the soul out of me. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m being dramatic, even myself.
