Chapter 2A Chapter by Maggie waz here =p
I crumbled the piece of paper and held it to my forehead. I felt terrible. I thought I was going to cry. I wasn’t even close. I looked at the paper ball and rolled it gently back at Chad. He looked at me and smiled. I watched as he opened the paper. I held my breath as he read it. He looked at me and then looked down. He started writing. It didn’t take very long. He looked at me one more time and rolled the piece of paper gently back at me. He wrote: Yea, now that you mention it, I guess you’re right. There is no spark. I guess we’re just not for each other. Don’t worry, I understand. It’s cool. Chad The bell rang after I finished reading. I looked at him. He looked at me. I smiled a simple smile. He didn’t smile back. He just looked at me. I wasn’t sure what to do. I wasn’t sure if he was mad. Or if he was sad. Or relieved. I looked down and got up. I walked out of the room and headed to my locker. I opened it and a note fell out. I opened it up and noticed it right then and thee that it was from William. He had the best handwriting. It was perfect. William is like a brother to me. He is my best guy friend. I can tell him all of my problems at any time. And he is super nice. I looked at the letter and read: Dear Lexie, I heard about the break up. Are you ok? Do you want to talk? If you want to, meet me at the Library after school. Only if you want to. Please feel better. William. I thought about going. But, maybe not. What’s my excuse? I don’t have a reason not to go. I just would’ve been mean. Then a part of me said, “He’ll understand if you don’t want to go.” I just made up my mind. I would go. Then another question popped in my head. How did he know about the break up? Sure, he’s in my class, but he can’t just read people’s thoughts. I walked to my last class. English. I hate English. It’s so boring. And it’s a shame I have it last. End of the day and I have the worst subject in the entire world. All though English we classified sentences aloud. Well, it wasn’t really aloud. Nobody was saying anything. The teacher was just babbling away, thinking we’re doing this with her. The clock ticked and tocked and ticked and tocked. It felt like 8 hours. It took forever. English ended after 55 minutes of hell. The bell rang and I went to my locker. William was walking behind me. When he saw I was there, he walked faster. He went out the doors and ran. He was running to the Library. I put my schoolbag down and ran after him. I wanted to beat him there. But he was so far ahead. I thought taking the shortcut would help. Though the grave yard. That’s the fastest way to get there. © 2009 Maggie waz here =pAuthor's Note
