Stepping On Needles

Stepping On Needles

A Poem by Lighthouse Call
"

Just one of those nights where life decides to spit at you.

"
Oh please play something for me
A melody to help me on my way
The distance sometimes kills me
Some nights I need you but you're far away

Cause I've been going downhill
And I can't find that strength to climb back up
You were always there to guide me
Now all I seem to do is just f**k up

And I always feel like I'm a step behind
N' I'm trying really hard
But God knows how I feel so blind
Some night are really tough
And I can't make it on my own
Hell seems to have arisen
The little time, that I've been left alone

I like how you exaggerate the pain of lomneliness and the mere though of being left behind is really painful.

In this poem I notice the deep regret the speaker feels and that is rather a great sign

A nice write :)
