Summer love.

Summer love.

A Poem by Ligeia
"

For Toby.

"

There were no stars that night,

but I swear I could still hear them screaming your name:

calling you, begging you,

like my soul, not to let me go.

The clouds muffled the sounds,

but couldn't stop our heavy breathing

or the slow and steady beating

of our hearts.

Somehow I knew you,

recognized the feel of your skin on mine

and melted, molded myself into someone you could love

until midnight and into the morning.

I left you a piece of me,

a part of the essence you found so beautiful,

because that's exactly how you made me feel.

I never want to forget,

because even the stars felt something wonderful.

Deafened by the clouds,

they could still hear the warm murmur

and the whisper of your heart calling to mine,

speaking softly of late summer nights and young love.

This is beautiful. It screams of first innocent love. One that can be the strongest and longest. It wants to be forever. Exellent job.
