The Impossible

The Impossible

A Poem by Ligeia

Oh, I can tell you
how when he spoke orders
it shook me through, and through,
and through.

'Go to, my lady! Fetch me the sea.'
I would pause to remind him
the ocean would not fit in a glass.

What an absurd impossibility.

Short piece, but I really enjoyed it. Well done.

This may be a subtle rejoinder
to a demand, or request for an
impractical action.

Beautifully phrased. The punctuation
is particularly meaningful in this
poem.
Excellent !
